DescriptionA print of a coloured photograph; it depicts the Grand Dome at night with the lighting reflected in the pool in the foreground.History / BiographyThe New Zealand and South Seas International Exhibition was opened by Governor-General Sir Charles Fergusson on 17th November 1925. The exhibition was located at Logan Park, Dunedin, the reclaimed site of the previous Lake Logan, and much drainage work was required to prepare the grounds for this purpose. Preparation for the exhibition included improving access to the area with construction of a highway from the railway station to Logan Park on Anzac Avenue.
The exhibition included an amusement park, sports ground, children's playground, aquarium, and art gallery and public attendance reached a total of 3,200,498. The exhibition closed on 1st May 1926.
