The photographs include views of Great King Street with the original Knox Presbyterian Church building and the Dunedin Hospital building, Princes Street, the city from the View Street area, the Custom House, Maclaggan Street, High Street, First Presbyterian Church of Otago, Union Street, the Octagon, Jetty Street, Port Chalmers, the first Baptist Church in Otago on Hanover Street, Ross Creek Reservoir and Warrender Street. There are also two photographs of artist's versions of street scenes, one of Moray Place, Dunedin and the other of Government House, Wellington.
