Description

History / BiographyThis photograph was reproduced in the Chocolate Soldier magazine, vol.14 no.4 (January-February 1965). It was stated: 'Usually the end of the year brings with it the retirement of stalwarts of the Firm who have been with us for many years and without whom the factory set-up is just that little bit different. The end of 1964 was like this and saw the retirement of Jim Wilson (Engineers) after more than 40 years of service; Ernie Gilchrist, foreman painter, with more than 25 years of service behind him; Jim Moffat (Engineers) after 10 years; and Charlie McLean (Bottom Store) after seven years.
