Subjects include Mangaian dancers, warriors from Mauke and Atiua and unidentified elders, a wedding group showing some of the presents and food, the burial of a chief, as well as views of Avatiu Harbour, Government House, a sitting of the Native Council with W.E. Gudgeon presiding and the ceremonial presentation of a mat with virtually all of the European population present.
