World War I photographs include the Turkish boat sunk to act as a wharf at Imbros, Walker's Ridge where the New Zealanders landed at Gallipoli, Beach Hospital at the foot of Walker's Ridge, snapshots of regiments and loading coal in Aden and the arrival of the invalid ship TSS Willochra back in Dunedin. Photographs of Lake Coleridge include interiors of the hydro-electric plant. There is also a print of an elderly man setting up a camera on a tripod and negatives of two girls playing with a cat.ProvenanceH.D. Skinner, the donor's father, served at Gallipoli but this notebook looks to have been compiled by someone else who may have been a friend.
