It solds pianos (some manufactured or assembled by the firm) and other musical instruments, and also sold sheet music and other music-related merchandise. In 1907 it had branches or agencies in sixty towns throughout New Zealand. It changed its name to the Bristol Piano Company in 1915 and the company was broken up in the 1930s.
