Much of the correspondence is with Harvey Brown, who wrote a biography of H.P. Pickerill, published in 2007 ('Pickerill : pioneer in plastic surgery, dental education, and dental research'). There are also a few references, certificates and letters of the Pickerills, and some copies of publications and notes on early New Zealand plastic surgeons. The collection also includes photographs of the Pickerills, of Bassam Hospital and its staff, and of other New Zealand plastic surgeons.

(Percy) and Cecily Pickerill. Both of her parents were prominent plastic surgeons. H.P. Pickerill was also the founding director of the University of Otago Dental School.
