Later developments included the company's acquisition of the Kempthorne Prosser works at Burnside in 1961. In 1977 Dominion Fertiliser was taken over by Kempthorne Prosser and subsequent amalgamations with other fertiliser works resulted in the formation of the Ravensdown Fertiliser Co-operative Ltd. in 1978.
