Many of these were kept in registered filing systems (five different filing systems have been used to date). Items not filed by these systems have been arranged by subject. In addition to books and files, the collection includes numerous photographs and a few audiovisual materials, plans, posters, and banners.

Information about other items can be found on the Hākena catalogue, through the Library Catalogues link above.History / BiographyThe Otago University Students' Association, commonly known as OUSA, was founded in 1890 to run student rooms, organise activities over capping, approach the university with student concerns, and arrange socials. As the university developed, it grew into a large organisation offering services and support to students, while advocating for their interests.
