It produced Huia brand butter and cheese. In 1976 it was renamed the Otago Co-operative Dairy Company. In 1997, Otago merged into Kiwi Co-operative Dairies. In 2001, Kiwi in turn merged with the New Zealand Dairy Group and the New Zealand Dairy Board to form Fonterra
