Andrew Ballantyne during his term as a missionary in Papua New Guinea c.1912. Most of the photographs are of Goodenough Island and show landscape views and scenes of village life including funerals, fishing, gardening and craft activities. There are also portraits of local people and mission teachers, including one of Rev. Ballantyne himself.
