These include Trentham Camp in 1916, Sapper F.L. McFarlane drawing the Shellal Mosaic, the Airship NS ll in London and a pack set wireless being used in Iraq. There are some identified portraits of soldiers from Otago who were killed during the war and photographs of ships, including the troopship 'Hororata'.

There are also some photographs taken in England and Scotland, including a Pierrot Troupe, the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre in Stratford-on-Avon, plus a few that relate to the Boer War.Provenancedd Donald McFarlane, 1993.
