The subjects are all New Zealand scenes including Queenstown and environs, Fiordland, Stewart Island, Dunedin, Christchurch, Bay of Islands and Rotorua. There are photographs of the Pink and White Terraces before the Mount Tarawera eruption in 1886 and some scenes of Māori daily life.
