Chapters read, 'Burnside marl quarry where one of the raw materials is obtained', 'Marl is washed to form a slurry and pumped to storage silo', 'Limestone from Milburn and Dunback quarries being unloaded by tippler and conveyed to storage', 'Limestone and marl mixed in correct proportions and pulverized to a fine slurry', 'Slurry is pumped to holding and correcting silos and is agitated and mixed by compressed air', 'Slurry is fed to rotary kiln (200 feet long) and fused to a clinker', 'Lignite small coal obtained from the Mines of Otago and Southland, is passed through a rotary dryer, pulverized and blown into the furnace of the rotary kiln', 'The cement clinker is cooled, weighed and conveyed to storage'.MediaFilmTypeFilm
